Hi - I came across your website because you used my flickr photo (210 with coke truck.)
I am sorry to hear about all Jordan has been through. She sounds like a great kid. Does she have a caringbridge site? We have been journaling on ours as our daughter struggled with kidney failure. You can see it here http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/jennafranks - she can a few photos too, and there's a guestbook for people to leave messages.
Best wishes to Jordan and your family.

How truly exciting! I'm glad to hear that her cancer has not showed its ugly face. I'm praying for her and the whole family. As far as her writing her own story. It would be fascinating to hear "cancer, a children's story." Oh I would love to read the book and know her thoughts. I know yours from what you've written, now to know her side of the story.. How wonderful... Keep us posted on how the book is coming along...

Thank you,

I think this is an extraordinary idea. Kudos to Jordan. It will not only afford her the opportunity to creatively explore how she expresses the feelings that populate her various experiences, but it can also serve as a catalyst for others to bring their internal reactions to the fore and give identity to feelings--they can become concrete and relatable. What were previously only vague and shadowy internal misgivings can be out in front and more easily addressed.

The ability to communicate these feelings can then empower the story teller while building a bridge from one person's spirit to another.

This prospect of providing a forum which encourages other kids to share their stories is inspired. As they share what brings them strength they are feeding the strength in others. Everyone wins.
